Thank you Dale, for everything. Only great people have a profound, positive affect on others. To one of the greatest. Thank you.

Dale had so many friends and with his contagious smile they all became best friends. Don't we all hope to make this positive impact on others. God bless Dale and family.

I was very lucky to share many experiences with Dale all thru High School. My sincere condolences to the Trumbo family.

Glenda I am sorry for your lose. I only had the privilege of meeting you a couple of times. Dale I have known since elementary school. I have made many new friends, but old are best! Too many of my old friends have died. When my old friends like Dale have died I realize how short this life is. I am grateful for the memories. I remember Dale when he was on our Pioneer Park football team. He came to practice with lineman shoulder pads that were way too big. He had football cleats that were also a size to big. My grandfather Lund was the Montana boxing commissioner. He would take me every year to the Midland Empire Golden Gloves Tournament, so I had an interest in boxing and trained with Dale and his dad at the YMCA. Because I chose to get married after my sophomore year of High School I didn't have the opportunity to play football at Senior High my junior and senior year. I came back to Billings to visit and saw Dale. He made a comment that I have never forgotten. He said, Why did you get married we needed you to play football. I could go on and on but I want to share just one more memory. I was attending two of my grandchildren's graduation at Idaho State. It went on and on, so I took a brake and went out to the lobby. On the wall was a familiar face. It was Dale's picture. He had been inducted to the Idaho State Athletic Hall of Fame. This maybe magical thinking, but I believe that death is just a baptism to a continuation of our eternal existence Jon F. Vodden
