I only spoke with Darcy a few times as a neighbor and reading these comments, how I wish I had known her better. I knew she and Rick were awesome parents because Noa is such a beautiful and kind little girl. My heart goes out to Rick and Noa and all of Darcy's extended family.

I am saddened and shocked to learn of Darcy's passing. I worked with her here in Albuquerque, and she quickly became a wonderful colleague and friend. Her outlook and approach to life was truly remarkable as she was loved and held in the highest esteem by many people. I always appreciated and admired her courage and drive as she never shied away from a challenge and welcomed change and personal growth. Her move to Hawaii more than 20 years ago is something that really amazed me and in Darcy's true style, she made that move successfully and began a new career in a smooth and graceful manner. My thoughts and prayers are with Rick and Noa, as well as Darcy's extended family.

Rest in peach mi amiga!! I will have my favorite cocktail, a greyhound, which you introduced me to more than 20 years ago, later this evening and toast to many wonderful memories and all the times that you extended your sincere friendship and kindness to me.

Oh Darcy! Where do I start to tell you how much you mean to me? We were roommates just out of college at MSU..I remember you loving hot tea! You gave me your white leather adidas tennis shoes which were so in style at the time. I taught you how to make a T-Shirt "cool" by cutting out the collar, sleeves and length (to show a bit of belly)! Your laughter and positive attitude got me through some rough times. When I went through my divorce (years later) you told me: "join a gym and work your butt off." I did. Best advice ever! Later, when you asked me about Heaven and those who have passed...I knew what I had to do.. I had to let you know that passing onto Heaven was just the reverse of being born. That you would be okay. To reach for the light and not be afraid. It was the hardest conversation I've ever had with you. You were/are the sweetest person I've ever known. I was so blessed to have known you. I will never ever forget you. And every time Ratt "Round and Round" comes on the radio I think of you because you told me it reminds you of me...cut off T-shirt and all.
Goodbye my friend..until we meet again. I love you. Gwyn
PS. My thoughts and prayers now go out to Noa and Rick and the rest of Darcy's family.

I had the privilege to know and work with Darcy. I found her to be a genuine and sweet person. She always took the time to chat & when she asked a question she truly listened to the answer. I will always remember her smile.
