Thinking of all of Ed's family and friends on this day that celebrates his meaningful life.

My first memory of Ed was when I was 4 or 5 years old. Always thought, even as a little girl, he was "easy on the eyes." He was always sweet to me...bending over to my little level to say hello" and to tease me a bit. The summer I was 5 Ed broke his arm. He had a great big cast on his hand up to end of forearm...in sling. I was inconsolable. My heart was so worried about him as he didn't (at that time) have a wife to "take care of him." I wanted to be a "nurse" and "take care of Ed." I drove my parents crazy. But when seeing Ed he was always patient and assured me he was "fine and the cast would be off soon!"

Whenever I saw Ed, as an adult, he was polite and had a sparkle in his eye. Taking time away from the ranch he loved, to have a little conversation about me and my life...especially being a teacher.

Haven't seen much of Ed in they past few years...but so thrilled he and Ruth traveled and he had "kids and grandkids" to make his his life joyous and content.

He was a successful rancher who loved Meadows Valley ( As I do, too.)

Ed was a nice man.
