my dear Arita, so very sad to lose your man. Ed was my favorite boss(1970s) back in the BCC days. He was brilliant with the dollars and cents as Treasurer. Ed would often assist Hap and I at our attempts to "make it big" as wind surfers. Hilarious challenge. Have some fun photos. This photo is how I will remember him.

I am truly sad for your loss and for Kathy, Patty, John and families.

best to all,
sandy

This is Anne, Janie and Bill (Monnette). We are sitting together in Wenatchee Washington, having a family reunion. As we were talking, Sheryl, Bill's wife, asked about Ed and Arita so Bill googled Ed Cleary. It was then we learned that Ed had just passed away. We want to tell Arita, Kathy, Patty, John and families, how often we all think of you, and how much we appreciate your friendship with our folks, Jay and Shirley Monnette. You were special friends, not only to them, but to us. We last saw you in 2005, and how wonderful that you had such a long time together. Bill says thanks for the water skiing lessons, many happy days of snow skiing, and we all remember singing with the ukelele and gut bucket! Thanks for the memories!!

I remember Ed from the 60s while living with my Dad, Don Black and my sisters Cindy and Patty. He was such a great dancer when my parents, Marcile and Don had parties. At Warm Springs I was his only failure at getting me up on water skis (bikini top came off). I will never forget how kind he was to me when I couldn't cross a hang bridge, scared to death! He was such fun, a wonderful family man to be proud of.
