Renee Beus Obituary

Renee Beus
1980 ~ 2017
Renee Beus was born March 11, 1980, at St Luke's hospital in Boise, Idaho. She attended Franklin Grade School, then with her family's move to West Boise, attended Joplin Elementary, Lowell Scott Middle, Meridian Middle, Meridian High and Centennial High with the class of 1998. After she finished school, she continued working in Boise for a period of time and then moved to Portland, Oregon.
Working in Boise started young, including concessions at BSU, Chuck E Cheese, Rockin' Taco, Mulligans and Idaho River Sports. She traveled to Colorado and certified as a river guide. When she moved to Portland, she worked at Ebb and Flow, and Next Adventure. After Renee had worked at Next Adventure several years, she became a cabbie for Radio Cab. Several years later, she completed a program through Oregon Tradeswomen Inc., and went to work for Latus Motors in Gladstone. After working for Latus for just over a year, her success at selling Triumph Motorcycles earned her a title as a "Triumph Champion".
Renee was a gifted musician and artist. She had a wonderful singing voice and learned to play the guitar by ear. She loved campfires, and the two went together with her love of the outdoors and turned camping into a passion. She gifted her paintings to her siblings for special events and sometimes Christmas. She eagerly awaited the Oregon State Fair every year. She had recently found love in a relationship with the beautiful Hayden Roma, who shared Renee's passion for seemingly everything.
On October 12, 2017, Renee was involved in a tragic motorcycle accident that removed her from our mortal lives. Our family is incredibly sad and heartbroken, but recognize that Renee lived more life in her 37 years than most do in an average 78-year lifetime. She is simply on to her next great adventure.
Renee is survived by her parents, Vicki (Kelly) Fackrell, and Rodney (Terri) Beus. She has loving and close relationships with all of her six siblings, Ryan Beus (Will Ranstrom), Wade Beus, Heather (Ryan) Spritzer, Kathryn Beus (William Mavromichalis), Melissa (Tyler) Kawahara and Kelly Christian Fackrell. She is also survived by her paternal grandfather, Richard (Ella Rae) Beus and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held for Renee in Boise, Wednesday, October 18th at the Stonehouse event center, adjacent to the Ram Pub on Broadway. It will begin at 6pm. Please come prepared to share your favorite stories with our gathering.

I am mentally, emotionally and physically ill from hearing about Renee's passing. I can't imagine how you, as family, must feel. I'm so very and truly sorry for your (and OUR) loss. Unfortunately, I only JUST heard about it late last night because I quit driving for Radio Cab in 2015 but I was in the area last night and decided to pop in and shoot the breeze with one of the gas station attendants and he told me.
So... I obviously met Renee at Radio Cab and, to be honest, we had more of a "good acquaintances" relationship but I liked her, A LOT, as a person because (as I know you know) she was ALWAYS quick to smile. Or laugh. Or tell a funny/cynical/inappropriate joke (also known as My Favorite). She was the PERFECT amount of sarcastic and, basically, seemed to: Enjoy. Living. Life.
She would frequently take time off from driving cab to travel and/or explore and/or go on adventures and would be gone from the Radio Cab garage juuuuust long enough to fall into the "out of sight, out of mind" category and then: *POOF!* she'd reappear at the key box in the garage, ready to drive, like she'd never been gone; except that she'd regale whomever was around with a virtual raconteur's bag full of stories of her travels. I, frequently, seemed to be around for these tales and once she built up steam and got goin' I CLEARLY wasn't going anywhere 'til she was either done with her story or... just done. With me. With the moment. With (what seemed like) Everything.
She was endlessly entertaining, intelligent, creative, and talented and had this positive, boundless, energy that issued forth from her, filled the room and felt good to be around.
Another thing about Renee that I REALLY liked was, she frequently walked around with this wry look on her face like... SHE (and SHE, alone) was privy to some esoteric knowledge... wasn't gonna share "It" with anyone... and THAT seemed to amuse her; akin to being the only one in the room who was in-on The Joke, if that makes ANY sense, whatsoever...? It does to me and, trust me, it's meant as a compliment. It went hand-in-hand with the confidence she exuded at all times!
Lastly, the Salted-Lemon-Juice-In-The-Wound, for me, is that I found out too late to attend any service held for her AND that she's interred in Boise, so I'm unable to visit her place of rest. I hope there was a wonderful celebration of her life & times.
Well, there ye have it: my Minor tribute to the Major being that
Was...
Is... and
Shall Be:

Renee Beus.

I apologize for the poorly-written, cliché-riddled pap this was but it all flew out of my misery-laden brain, spontaneously.
And we all ARE better for having known her but worse for having lost her. The World o'er...

In sorrow we mourn those we lost. In gratitude we embrace those around us. In love we trust God who wants us to throw all our cares, worries or anxieties on him because he cares for you. - 1 Peter 5:6,7
