SALLY ANN SMITH ZANDERS
1970 ~ 2016
Sally's struggle ended on March 15, 2016 after a 23-year battle with severe multiple sclerosis. While she will be greatly missed, her family has found solace in knowing that she can finally be at peace. They are certain she is enjoying spending time with her best friend Bobbi and Grandpa Roy, both of whom preceded her in death. Born in Boise on January 5, 1970 she grew up attending local schools and even spent a year at the Duck Valley Indian Reservation where she was a cheerleader. She attended Boise State where she received her degree in accounting in 1999. She enjoyed playing poker, writing poetry, singing off key karaoke and watching BSU football games; but mostly she spent her time talking about her only son Zack to anyone that would listen.
Sally is survived by her son Zackery Zanders; her parents, Rande and Bill Trueax and Jim and Lynnette Smith; her siblings Tyler, Travis, Ashley and Kenny; her grandparents Will and Dot Hovey, John F. Smith and Jeanette Mathis as well as numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins from the Bryan, Smith, Trueax, and Zanders families. Sally will also be missed by her many friends at Life Care Center.
Sally was a strong and courageous woman who was known to be exceptionally feisty. She was also an exceptional mother, and despite her disabilities, she was able to impart wisdom, humor and a sense of adventure to her loving son. A celebration of Sally's life will be held in late spring.

Your place in my heart is forever there. I always think of you when I have a mountain dew or play cards. Then there was that time in the pinto....:)
See you again. Bless you.
