Dear BJ--your tribute to your dad written in this Guest Book is beautiful. Although you wouldn't remember me, i am one of your Auntie Janice's longtime friends. A friend since First Grade. Yes, a long time now.
As i read your tribute to your dad the tears that were streaming down my face suddenly dried as a smile replaced them. Your dad did leave you & your sisters a solid, admirable legacy. Thank you for sharing your loving thoughts with those of us who read this Guest Book. God Bless you, BJ. I share your faith & the Hope that earthly life is only the beginning. There is so much more to come. With the passing of each friend & family member Heaven becomes more real. With fond thoughts of my Janice's nephews & nieces--Debbie Boor (And, yes, i meant to write nephews plural)

Dearest Jo and Shana Jo, BJ, Kari--its July 8, 2017. I just learned today of Bob's transition from this side of life to the other. I am sitting here with tears streaming down my face. Our connection goes back a long long way. No explanation needed, right? I'm amazed I hadn't heard about Bob...but then i'm not online, so Janice & i only are in touch when she calls. By the way,i have a new cell # which she doesn't have. She was suppose to give me your new contact info the last time we saw each other, but that didn't happen. You would have heard from me long before this if i knew how to contact you. Please remember my bro & i still share a place, & we still have a landline. Please pass that info on to my Janice.
When i think of you & Bob i hear laughter. Smile. I remember the first time i met your Bob. Janice & i stopped by C of I to say hi. And probably to drop off some of your mom's good homemade food. You two were probably suppose to be studying...Ha! Not.
I have so many wonderful memories of the
Hayashi and Buckendorf families. I am comforted by knowing that in the real Life to come--that which is to follow our earthly life--we will share many more times together. Forever.
Its been an honor to know Bob. Thank you to you both for loving me as another 'little sister'.
God bless you, dearest Jo. You & your family will be in my prayers. I hope to see you sometime. With love & many fond memories--Debbie Boor

Dear Jolene and family, i was saddened to read of Bob's passing In the C of I alumni magazine. My memories of your wedding during the Australian Expedition are among highlights of the trip. With sympathy and much aloha.

While I am deeply saddened to have lost my dad when, from my perspective seems much too early, I know that God called him home at just the right time. And he is not "lost ", because we know precisely where he is, with his Heavenly Father. My dad was a man of deep conviction, integrity, ambition, always focused on building relationships through loving other people. I believe that God called him home when he had finished all the work Christ Had set before him. One of my dad's life mottos was to live a life that mattered, never wasting Time because I think he viewed live as a gift, precious, and full of opportunity to bless other people. This is his legacy. And in turn I hope it Will be my legacy as well. I am filled with gratitude to be the son of such a man as this.
