Holly, I never knew you or your family, but I read your mother's story of your adoption and that of your sister, Lee Heh, when I was a sophomore at Fordham University in the '70s. I never forgot it, and it led me to become a single adoptive parent of three Asian daughters in my 30s and 40s. I was so very sad to hear of your passing.....far too young. My thoughts and prayers and with you and your family.

Dear Doug Werth, Jude and Trent, Marjorie and Lee Heh: I met Holly during her first year with Marjorie and Lee Heh, when we were friends in the Philadelphia and New York areas. Marjorie drove Holly and Lee Heh all the way to our home on Long Island for Sunday lunch, and we all attended Lee Heh's next birthday party, where I was in charge of the children's games. We kept up our friendship till the Margolies family moved away. I remember Holly as a beautiful child, animated, unpredictable, and I still see her in my mind's eye as the adorable small girl I kept wanting to hug.
And now this awfully, awfully sad news.
I hope you'll accept my sympathy, along with my hope that you'll keep telling the stories of Holly, and that generations of Werth children, Margolies children, and Mezvinsky children will come to know the lovely and unique Holly, brightly shining in memory.
with love,
Jinny Wolff (Virginia Euwer Wolff)
for Anthony and Juliet Wolff, too

My dear Holly One, the world is a lot less dazzling with out you in it.

Oh My Dearest Holly - my co-adventurer, closest confidante and all-told the best friend anyone could ever hope to love. Without you, the last three decades would not have held nearly as many rich experiences, profound epiphanies and raucous laughter. I am so very grateful for all we shared. Until we meet again....
