I was saddened to learn of Jan's death. She was always so fun and full of life that it's hard to imagine that she's passed away. My condolences and sincere sympathy to her kids and grandchildren. Jan was a valuable asset to the Bureau's Safety and Health Management Team (SHMT). But because of her dedication to and work on the SHMT, her legacy of ensuring a safe workplace for BLM employees and the visiting public will continue even though she's gone. So long, my dear, dear friend. I will see you in the next world.

My prayers and condolences go out to Jan's family and friends. I knew Jan as a fellow safety and health professional. Jan and I shared some thoughts and ideas on how to keep the employees safe in their work environments. She was a kind and professional woman. I feel blessed to have known her. May God bless.

To Jan & family,
You were such a nice person, never got to meet you in person but enjoyed our conversation on face book. I will share this memo from you to my friend/classmate/wrestling teammate LCpl Edward J. Rykoskey: "Ed, I hope they find you and today you went missing. Save a spot on the bench in Heaven and I will see you soon. I have been diagnosed with ALS in May, so in 2 years I will come looking for you." Ed was MIA in Vietnam August 18, 1966. RIP Jan, you are a beautiful person. God bless to your family.

With deep sympathy for your loss, I'll always remember Jan as one of the greatest and most favorite people I've known.
