Joy was the best mother
of my best friend, Joe.

Joy taught my son, Steve, about pottery.
After Steve died, I received in the mailbox a card from Joy with a handwritten note expressing her love and support. (None of this electronic email nonsense.) I received a handwritten card from Joy EVERY DAY (except Sunday) for 6 weeks after Steve died. Joy saw beauty in the details of life. Joy was full of mischief, intelligence, creativity, and affection.
...and she shared these easily with many.
I am fortunate to be one of many who can say, "Joy was my friend."
I am grateful for the impact of her presence in my life.
Love,
Mark

I am most thankful to Mum for raising me as a Catholic, and teaching me to sew. My best memories were playing crocodile, war, cricket, and scrabble, and afternoon tea after school. She was loved by so many people, and was gifted in so many ways. I know she is happy now, embraced by the arms of God. We love you, Mumpy!
