I am so glad for the love, community, four-leggeds, adventure, and joy in Kelly's life. What a loss; what a bright spark.

I met Kelly through Patty Katucki, in Boise. I have many loving memories of beautiful Kelly, but my favorite was on her fiftieth birthday on top of a rock in the African bush. We'd been riding all day through lion country and the guides drove us out for a "sundowner" to a remote place with a beautiful view of the plains and wildlife of a Botswana winter.
We climbed the rock and the guide, West, pulled a bottle of Champagne out of some mystery place in his pack and served us all in metal cups. We toasted our brave friend. I remember Kelly's radiant face in the hard light of the setting sun that day. Her smile was truly something to see. Kelly was a straight shooter with an enormous grasp and a great cosmological heart. And of course she was a beauty too. What a rare woman. And what a loss for us, her friends. Godspeed, Kelly.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved Kelly. She has touched many lives with her devotion to all of God's creation such as to nature, animals and people. We need more loving and unselfish people like Kelly in the world. It is times like this that we need family and friends for support. I am sure you are getting the support you need. Although you have a pain in your heart no one can heal, you do have your precious memories of Kelly no on can steal. May Almighty God give you a calm mind and heart during this difficult time. You are in my prayers.

I was so saddened to hear of Kelly's passing. Too soon for such a wonderful person who I remember as so full of life, smart and independent. I was a fellow PT student with her at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and have such great memories of a summer('81) we drove her yellow Volkswagen bug from Omaha to McCall. She taught me a lot about life as we worked through the summer, her as a very capable bartender and me as a brand-new cocktail waitress at Cargo West. I think back fondly to those days where I jokingly say was exposed to a "granola" lifestyle and loved it. She taught me about Birkenstocks and Bolle sunglasses and I met a whole group of wonderful people I would never have known growing up on a farm in Nebraska.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to keep in touch with her over these years but I wonder if she may have been thinking about me near the end as on the day she passed I was trying to find her on Linked In to reconnect. Eery.
I am a better person for having known Kelly and I am sure she touched a lot of her rehab clients lives as well. She'll be missed.
Fond memories of her great big smile.
Thoughts of healing and wholeness for the family. I remember Nikki and John.

Warmly,
Susie (Steuter) Harms PT
