To the Hunter Family, so sorry to read about Kevin's passing. He was a great guy. Really good with you boys, you could tell he loved coaching you. Big hugs to all of you.

Kevin "Dick Butkus" Hunter #51, how can I ever forget your distinguished laugh and since of humor. You were the ultimate prankster, the guy who was always smiling. During practice you meant business, and I never saw you give anything but 100% on the field or during our killer two a days that Coach Omera had every summer. One of my best sports related memories was when we were playing in a game for Clair E. Gale. We were playing at Ravsten Stadium. I was the left side DT and of course you were the MLB. I got through the opposing team's line and put pressure on their QB, and he threw a pass over my head right into your arms. We laughed together for a 50 yard return with you scoring the TD. I can still see your face, and can still hear your laugh. You were a good person Kevin, and you were very inspirational. You were driven to succeed on the field of play. I'm sorry you left us brother, but we will all regroup one day in Heaven. Oh, and don't forget our only loss as sophomores to Highland HS. The score after the triple OT was 12-9 them. The QB? Well it was Dirk Koetter. He now is the Coach of the Tampa Bay Bucs. I live very close to Tampa and think of that every time I see him. Kevin, may your journey be a good one and we all miss you. You will never be forgotten. Hey, where did that miniature pic of Dick Butkus go, the one you had mounted on a piece of wood, that you always kept in your football locker? Get On the Line!

Peace to you all in the Hunter Family. Kevin was one of the toughest guys I ever played against on the football field. He was a Great Tiger while at Idaho Falls High. Great player... Fun guy. Loved football and loved the guys he played with and against. The 1977 Idaho Falls Skyline football game...still to this day the best game ever played by both schools...Hunt had a great game. He and his D were very tough vs our Skyline team.
