I remember our 1st meeting at the "Site" (INEL) where we flushed ink out of typebars so the typists could make 10 carbon copies in one session. Larry was self managed and in essence was given the responsibility to run that part of IBM's operation in Idaho Falls, which he did well. I could always count on Larry for friendly conversation and his focus was always on customer satisfaction. Obviously IBM felt the same way and rewarded Larry with numerous "IBM Means Service" awards. I remember in our copier years it would be no surprise to find Larry on the customer's floor and splattered with toner and grease as he ripped out and repaired the innards. It was in comparison ... like overhauling a car engine. You could count on Larry if you needed help. Friendly help. I still have the small wood crafted Christmas Tree ornament that Larry surprised me with one year ... Larry was ... in my opinion ... dedicated to his work and faithful to his family .... a trait sorely missed in the current generation. And people who knew him absorbed some that, and I am thankful for that relationship and exposure.

Larry & I worked together in Idaho Falls. He was a superior repair guy who was responsible for much of our success in the IBM office products territory in Eastern Idaho. We had coffee & donuts every morning together. Those for great times for us in our careers. RIP Larry!!
