Col Eason was very fine officer and example to we junior officers. I served with him at the 2d General Hospital, Landstuhl and then again at Brooke Army Medical Center when he was Chief of Staff and Executive Officer. I know his passing is a great loss to his famil and friends.

Gloria and I send our condolences to Verna and all of Jim's family. We have fond memories of our times together both militarily and socially. Jim and I served in the 5th ID at Ft. Polk, Louisiana; he as the Medical Battalion Commander and I as the Executive Officer. Jim always strived for perfection in everything he did, even in the restoration of his antique car. It saddens us that our re-connection is under these circumstances. Rest in peace Jim!
