OH My heart is saddened. I met Skip via his lovely wife Garland. I attribute my electric music taste to his occasional suggestions. Even my kids wonder that I will go to punk fest with them. Skip DJed for my wedding and Skylar danced with all the little girls. Such a wonderful , open and loving HUMAN.

This is such sad news. Skip was my neighbor in Ukiah - I knew him from 7th grade through college. All the girls in the neighborhood had horses, so Skip's parents bought him one too. We used to throw pebbles at his bedroom window to get him up in time for rides. That lasted until he traded the horse in for a blue GTO.

Every time I eat pizza I think of Skip because of the following joke he once told me.

A man went in to buy a pizza.
When asked if he would like it cut into 4, or 8 pieces,
The customer said, "Four, I don't think I can eat eight."

I'll never forget you Skip. You were one of my closest friends.

There were many (many!) good times with Skip, Garland (and, later, Skyler) when they were next door neighbors in Alameda, CA. Jillian joined the family after they moved to Pleasanton - what a cutie!

Skip and Garland had hardly moved in next door, but it was beach weather..so...my husband and I went with Skip to the Alameda beach. Skip was trying to setup a portable cabana ('ever the stylish outdoorsman - whew, 'had the BEST travel trailers for camping), and Skip cut his hand on one of the metal poles. Ow! So, off we all went to the Alameda ER. After being bandaged up, Skip STILL wanted to go to SF to party. We shared Sex-on-the-Beach at The Caribbean Zone in SF, a bar inside of an old Doobie Brothers airplane (really!). BTW, Sex-on-the-Beach is a *beverage*!

What an adventure. What an adventurer. Skip was and is one-in-a-million.

'Keep on rockin' in the free world.

Much Love,
Janette

I was saddened to hear today of Skip's passing. Recalling the fun we had the last time we were together makes me smile. Craig Souza and I were in Boise for a company function and met up with Skip to meander around downtown Boise for a few hours. We found a not so well known watering hole and went inside and sat at the bar. It was after just a few minutes inside that we decided we didn't much care for the music that was playing. So, Skip asked the bartender if it would be okay to connect a phone to their audio system to play music that we liked better. We had a lot of fun laughing and taking turns choosing the music playing in the bar. What a great evening. Thanks for the memories, Skip!
