Jack Mattson
Jack Mattson, 92, of Nampa, Idaho passed away peacefully April 29, 2016. He lived in Nampa and spent time at homes in Palm Desert, CA and New Meadows, ID. Jack was involved in several different businesses throughout his life, but will best be remembered as an originating partner in Barger-Mattson Auto Salvage. He is survived by his wife Jean, sons John and Charlie (Brenda), step-daughters Sonja Rothrock and Tami Greeley (Jim) and their extended families. Jack was still laughing and joking with family less than 24 hours before his passing. A celebration of his life will be held at Church of the Brethren, 11030 Orchard Ave., Nampa on Friday, May 6th at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, Jack would want you to go do something fun in memory of him.

I have very fond memories of Jack and the time I spent working for
him at Barger Mattson Auto Salvage in the early 60's. I was in High School and he had me haul all kinds of building supplies to New Medows when he was build his cabin their. He was great to work for and I considered him a life long friend. He had a great life and was one of those people that could sell and make deals on anything.

I have such great memories spending time at his home in Nampa and the cabin in New Meadows. Sorry for your loss as Jack was a great guy.
