I don't remember when I first met Randy but I can't remember when I didn't know him. We had many great times and some better than that. I still owe you that boat ride. Show 'em how to Rock-N-Roll buddy!!!!

We are saddened about Randy's passing, but also relieved to know his long fought battle with disease and pain is over.
Randy and I met at Jefferson Grade school in Mrs. Peterson's second grade class. The year was 1956, I believe. We remained friends throughout the majority of these years. Alta, his mom, did her best to keep us in-line, but sometimes those efforts did not work too well. Many fun times were had. To look back, we certainly could not recommend all of those experiences to later generations. I recall when Randy went away to the Navy, then came home telling us how wonderful it was. So myself and another young fella signed up too. It really was not all that great at the time, but now, to look back, it was just what we needed. Randy and I were stationed at Miramar Naval Air Station together, we took several excursions south of the border. (More items to keep somewhat quiet.) He was transferred to Japan and our contact was limited. After the Navy, we remained close. Randy, as one could expect, owned one of the fastest cars I have ever been in. That Purple Hemi-Cuda, scared me more than once with Randy at the wheel. For some years we both went our separate ways, recontacting only occasionally, at our favorite relaxation spot on Overland Road. As we gained in years we saw each other more frequently. The move Karen and Randy made to Elk Bend was definitely an exciting and happy time for them. Whenever I did visit, their door was always open and generosity was without measure. Recently a friend of mine reminded me that Randy will be waiting for us on a stool at Jack's.
Our sympathies and condolences to all his family and friends.
