When I was four, five and six years old, Kent lived just down the street from us on Banner, and I didn't have a better friend in the neighborhood than Kent. Unfortunately our family moved to Boise just after our first grade year, and I lost contact with my best friend. Kent was just 10 days younger than me, but he taught me things that I'll probably never forget. Among others, he taught me that rabbits can swim. We explored the potato cellar out behind his house, played "King of the Hill" on the mounds of apples harvested and piled by the local cider/vinegar company, and searched the scrap bin at the local lumberyard to get material for our various building projects. My older brother, Tim, forwarded this site to me via e-mail, and I was saddened to realize that one of my best childhood friends had passed away, but I was heartened by the many tributes testifying of Kent and the life he led. My condolences and best wishes go out to his family. May we be comforted by the sure and certain knowledge that we will be reunited with this wonderful friend, father, grandfather and uncle in God's own time.

Love and Best Wishes, Greg Hegstrom

I really enjoyed Kent. ( Brother Stevens). I just barely found out today that we lost brother Stevens. I'll never forget about the time when he spoke in sacrament meeting about where he lost his vision, but later regained his vision back in at least one of his eyes after receiving a priesthood blessing. I am strong believer in miracles. May comfort and blessings be with stevens

Penny and Famiily

Prayers for all of you at this time.
It was so good to visit with you and Kent at our class reunion. Kent was a good man.
