RIP Mrs. Britt! You were a one of a kind. You were the first teacher to get me out of my shell and you immediately saw my potential! After 35 years you are still in my head with your happy smile while at the same time pushing me. I am thankful we ran across each other's paths over the years! God Bless and keep teaching in Heaven Mrs. Britt.

My 4th grade teacher at Sunnyridge
January 15, 2018
Mrs. Britt was my 4th grade teacher, at Sunnyridge Elementary, she was one of the first teachers who was hard on me and pushed me beyond my comfort zone. There were many moments in the beginning of the year that I dreaded her class, by the end, she became (and to this day is), my favorite teacher. While I was in college I spoke about her during a speech I gave to a graduating group of single moms, women who had been abused and displaced workers. Mrs Britt is/was everything I wanted to be when I grew up. I will always miss the look in her eyes when she knew I wasn't reaching my potential. Thank you for pushing me. - the girl from class who pushed back.
