I remember Aunt Ruth was the perfect hostess, always ready with a snack or treat for her young nephew. Even as an adult, whenever I came to visit, she was eager to see that I didn't go away hungry. She was proud of her home décor, complete with vivid color schemesI remember one home with the yellow room, the blue room, the (very) red room. Always well put-together and spotless.

One exciting episode was helping her with the goata family pet. It tangled itself up with a chain and leash, and could no longer breathe. Aunt Ruth came running over to our house (maybe a little excited) for help. I cut the collar off, and watched its tongue turn from blue back to pink. She seemed more grateful than the goat!

And the games! Particularly during the McCall winters. All of us kids on the hill' became masters at Sorry, Scrabble, Monopoly and more, together with plentiful snacks. Popcorn balls were a special treat.

I got to see her several times in her retirement apartment. She remained open and warm and welcoming, and made my day better for seeing her. I will miss her, and send special thoughts to Sherry, Sandra and Susette and their families.

Such a sweet and soft spoken lady. I am truly sorry for your loss. She was great!

Many memories of growing up among the Acheson families in McCall. My fondest memory of Aunt Ruth was her love of games, that drew us cousins together for fun and laughter. I know she is happy joining Uncle Vernon. Sending prayers for comfort for the Vernon Acheson family.
