Longtime Boise resident, Bonnie Jean Hanna passed away in Boise on March 29th, 2017. She was born September 10, 1934 in O'Neill, Nebraska, the third of six children for parents John and Sadie Huebert. Her family moved to Mountain Home 1945 and she grew up in that community, graduating from Mountain Home High School. She then attended and graduated from beauty school in Boise.
She married Arley Hanna on April 15th, 1955, and they made a home in Boise. She gave birth to Don in 1956, Ken in 1959 and Cynthia in 1971. When the boys were young she maintained the family home and enjoyed ceramics and later oil painting. She always loved to garden, her passion for raising flowers lead her to become a master gardener.
When Arley formed Boise Plumbing and Heating, she managed office operations in addition to raising a growing family. Upon retirement from the plumbing business, she and Arley traveled and enjoyed camping at various places, but particularly loved and fully used their membership at SISCRA Campground in Donnelly. Later in life she combined her love of knitting and love for bright colors, she blessed her family and friends with Afghans, mittens, hats and many other creations. While she loved creating art in many forms, she considered her family the greatest blessing in her life.

I dont remember my life without the Hannas in it. Preschool age Bonnie use to cut my hair for my mom. Oh love those razor straight bangs! Some where along grade school junior high I wanted to dye my hair. I remember still that Bonnie supported my choice, she said it was a good time to experiment with it. My mom ruled and I never dyed my hair. She will be missed. Jan
