Ronald Lee Spidell
1950 - 2016
Ronald Lee Spidell, 65, passed away February 12, 2016 at home unexpectedly after a sudden and short battle with cancer.
Ron was born in Grand Coulee, Washington on July 10, 1950. He later moved to Montana where he spent much of his childhood and the loved great outdoors. He moved to Idaho with his family where he then graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1968. He graduated from Idaho State University, earning a degree in Environmental Engineering.
Ron loved his country and honorably served in the United States Armed Forces. After mastering his craft in Environmental Engineering, he opened and ran his own firm for nearly 35 years, serving companies across the country. His entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic is something he lovingly instilled in his son Andrew. Ron took great pride in his walk with Christ and his journey in becoming an Ordained Minister later in life.
He was a devoted and loving father as well as a generous and supportive friend to everyone who entered his life.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Neal and Florence Spidell; his grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
Ron is survived by his son, Andrew Spidell (Amanda); his daughter, Lindsay Clayborn (Jesse); his brothers, Terry Spidell (Penny), Michael Ulrick, Lannie Ulrick, Michael Pomroy; many cousins; and his best friend, Mary Spidell.
Ron loved the Lord and we are confident he is now free from pain and safe within his Father's arms.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at 2:00 on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 N. Latah St., Boise, ID.
