I was just telling my daughter some early memories I had of Wayne from long ago ... like when he came stomping down the gym aisle as a red ant, as part of the cast of "Under the Sycamore Tree" back when Wayne was in high school. Seems like forever ago. And I do remember Denver playing the drums out on our back porch one summer, too. Good memories. I'll miss you, big brother.

Wayne was one of my oldest and truest friends. We went to Elementary, Jr. High, and High School together. We spoke regularly over the years. A visit to Mtn. Home will not be the same without a visit with Wayne. He had life-long health issues, but remained a stoic and determined full participant in life. He had a bright mind, wonderful sense of humor, ability to help others, and steely determination to take life to the fullest. Had he been given less challenging health he would likely have left Mtn. Home to take on a much larger community. But he remained in his hometown and made it the richer for his lifetime there. I will miss him greatly.

I will miss our taunting each other at our domino games. His smile and laugh! He loved it when I called him Uncle Weiner whether he admits it or not! I will miss him telling us stories of his grand adventures and mischief! I will miss hearing my name and him telling me I am his favorite niece! He walked me down the aisle the day this picture was taken! He was a father figure of mine, uncle and friend. We love you Uncle Weiner! Love Jenni, Adrian and Brooklynn
