I met Bill in 1968 at Shoemaker Trucking. He was the one who taught me to drive truck, thus beginning a 37 year career behind the wheel. He was a very good friend. I am so happy that a bunch of us ex-drivers got together Christmas Eve of 2015 to remember all the good times we had. I will always remember Bill's willingness to take a young man under his wings and patiently teach me not only my profession but also many lessons in life. Thank you Bill.

Bill was a great friend. We worked together at Shoemaker Trucking, Boise, Id. for 11 years. His friends at work called him "Wild Bill". He always had a smile and a kind word. He will be missed by all of us. Kind thoughts and prayers to his
family.

I have fond memories of Bill and the time he gave to help me learn about my pony and my horse. He was always kind and almost always had a smile (unless you weren't paying attention!) His patience and time meant a lot to me. I look over, when I visit my mom and dad, and think of all the figure-8's, bridge and gate maneuvers, bookwork and dust, and I smile. I cannot recall my childhood without thinking of horses and by association, 4-H and "Mr. Rode". Bill donated a LOT of time to help young people and I will always be grateful.
