Deacon Latimer you will be so missed. My memories of you will always be whenever I see you we always fussed, but in such a loving way. You always let me know how much I was missed in church and made sure I was good. I always had the utmost respect for you since I was younger. May your soul now rest in peace with The Almighty!

Good morning, My family sends our deepest condolences to the family at this time. I remember when I was younger, walking through Ruth Taylor and Westchester medical center and seeing Uncle Ben in his painting clothes, just working and sometimes joking and laughing. He had the best smile ever. Rest in peace and we'll meet up later. LVU. M. Rowlett and family. God bless

Mr. Latimer: A great loss to the community and the young people who for so many years depended and trusted your guidance and wisdom. Bethel Baptist Church has lost not only a long serving leader and deacon but an effective voice and role model who exhibited the good and decency in our society.

My name is a Martha Woodbury and my most fondest memory of Mr. Ben Latimer was when I was in the Invest program at the Thomas H. Slater Center and he drove us to Six Flags and when we were driving through the Animal park... we were making a lot of noise and he said if I stop this van, I'ma drop all of y'all off in the monkey kingdom since y'all going Ape in this van! . He always had a joke along with his discipline but he also loved being apart of giving us youth opportunities that our parents were not able to give us! God bless to the family and much love! He will be missed.

So many great memories of a GREAT man who loved working with and assisting children/youth. Mr. Ben aka Deacon Latimer was like a dad to me because he always encouraged and motivated me to continue the calling on my life, working with young people. He supported the youth programs at our church and in the community. Love, prayers and condolences to Ms. Sylvia, Sandy, Sharon and Chris. God Bless

Ben will be missed by many! He was affectionately called Bud (a name he was called by someone giving us directions on a college tour), and, of course, I had to pick it up and run with it! Bud was such a significant part of our Healthy Cooking Ministry. He always had a meal with us or drove us to wherever our Ministry needed to go. My life has truly been blessed knowing Bud, but I will continue to have great memories of his infectious smile and the great times we had. Eze
