H. Lorton Wentzky, 82, of Anderson, SC passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Rainey Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born January 25, 1936, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late William Wentzky Sr. and Sadie Webb Wentzky. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Fowler Wentzky; son, Steve Wentzky; brothers, Robert, Bill Jr., Paul, Vernon, twin brother Hubert, Charlie Lawrence and Larry and a sister, Molly W. Greer.
He worked as a lineman for more than 33 years with Duke Power and had also worked at Anderson Hospital for 10 years. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.
Surviving is his brother, Frank Wentzky and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm Monday, March 26, 2018 at Riverside Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Adams and Rev. Stewart Fowler officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
