Born September 8, 1956 at St. Margaret's Hospital in Hammond Indiana, departed May 21, 2020. She was a long time resident of Indianapolis and Beech Gove. She attended Lake Central High School (1974), Indiana University - Indianapolis for her Bachelors (1982) and Masters in Nursing (1985), and Ball State University for her Doctorate in Adult Education (1995).
Connie started her career in 1980 at St. Francis in Beech Grove where she worked as an RN in Coronary Care until her retirement. In addition, she was a Professor of Nursing at the University of Indianapolis from 1987-2015. After retiring from the hospital and teaching, she continued as a Professor Emerita of Nursing at University of Indianapolis as an accreditation representative. She then went on to accredit nursing programs for the National League of Nursing, and later served as an accreditor for universities and colleges across the country. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, National Nursing Honor Society. She was also a member of the American Nurses Association.
Connie is survived by her husband Steven Lee and her two sons, Robert Webb (Corey Webb) and Christopher Wilson (Jennifer Wilson), parents Dean and Mary Ann Siedelmann, sister Barbara Dahlstrom (Jon Dahlstrom), brother Scott Siedelmann (Charlotte Siedelmann), and granddaughter Cheyenne Webb.
She was a devout member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Beech Grove, where she served as a lector and an usher. She volunteered for numerous church functions throughout the years.
Connie will always be remembered as someone who always put others before herself, and with a big heart, helping anyone in need. Even at a childhood age, she wanted to serve others by becoming a nurse. After retirement, she devoted all of her time to serve her family, including caregiving to her parents, and helping her granddaughter achieve educational success. Family, education, and service were the most important aspects to Connie.

Connie was taken too soon. She was a gentle soul with a love for nature and others. I think of her often. - Sharon

Connie still had plenty to give back to others. She had a need to understand the world around her and took great pleasure in maintaining our landscapes within the community. She enjoyed learning and felt there was always more. Her compassion for others fit her well and I miss Connie and her smile.

I first met Connie while working in the Coronary Care Unit at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, IN. I was a young aspiring Respiratory Therapist then. Connie was a wonderful mentor and teacher to me, with gracious patience and was a part of my development into healthcare professional. She provided compassionate care to all of her patients and staff, always putting her patient's needs before her own.
Thank you Connie and God Bless You.

Although we only knew Connie for less than two years, we always admired her hard work in our community and her love for her family. It is a great loss not to see her smiling face as we walked by her condo daily and would see her working around her yard area. We are thankful for the time we knew Connie. Rest in Peace sweet Connie!

I worked at the University of Indianapolis for several years, and I was always appreciative of Connie Wilson and the way she served the students in the Nursing Program. I am sad that she is still not with us, but she was always kind, thoughtful, and helpful not only to the students to her colleagues. May she rest in peace . . .
