Dorothy E. Short
87, Brownsburg, passed away on Oct. 5, 2013. She had been a communications technician for AT&T for 31 years and a member of the Brownsburg Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Short. She is survived by her daughter, Billie (Tom) Parrish and son, Neil Short; step- daughter, Beth Summers; brother, Michael Dearinger and grandsons, Christopher and Mike Parrish. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thurs. Oct. 10, 2013 in Matthews Mortuary , Brownsburg, with funeral services at 10 a.m. on Fri., Oct 11, 2013 in Brownsburg Church of Christ, 2100 S. Remembering the loss of Mrs Dorothy. I worked with her daughter Billie for many many years at the telephone company and Mrs Dorothy was around our office all the time. She was a sweet person . May she continue to RIP. Gone but not forgotten.

I worked with Mrs Shorts daughter,Billie at Telephone Company and she always came to our office, attented all our functions, I guess you could say she was the office Mom. She and Billie were thick as thieves and I know she'll be missed. My sincere sympathy to the family.

Dorothy was a wonderful soul and good friend. I enjoyed working with her and talking to her often. She always stayed in touch years after our work careers were over. She really was an angel.
