Ferrell Howard "Dead Eye" League
84, Indianapolis, died on November 10, 2012.
Brought up in Fall Creek Parkway Church of Christ, as an adult, he joined Light of the World Christian Church and at the time of his death he was a member of Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church.
Having graduated from Crispus Attucks High School, he earned a scholarship to Texas College. Honorably discharged as a Corporal from the U. S. Army, he returned to graduate in 1952. A member of championship teams, he played basketball on the high school and college levels and in the Dust Bowl tournaments. He worked in construction for many years.
On Saturday, November 17, there will be a Celebration of Life service at Noon at Stuart Mortuary Chapel, with visitation from 10 a.m. to Noon, with interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Gary (Linda) Edwards; daughters, Josette League and Terry J. Mullins (Jacques); fivem grandchildren and sister, Hazel League Crowe. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Aloysius League, Jr. and sister, Helen League Drennan.
