In case you did not see these, I took the liberty to copy some of the comments with mine and other Facebook announcements of Don's passing:

Rick Sutton: One of the good guys. RIP, Don...one of the best ambassadors teachers ever had.

Roger Fierst: Don Grable was one of the best. He was best at being a good person, a good teacher and a super advocate for public education. His cheerful spirit always brought light to the room. I enjoyed working with him for nearly twenty years and am saddened to hear of his passing.Terry Troxell: Thanks for sharing. Don and I shared an office for years and in many ways he was a mentor and brother.

Veronica Embry: I am saddened to hear that Don Grable passed. He served as our UniServ Director for many years fighting for our working conditions, salaries and dignity as teachers. My heart goes out to his family on their loss.

Nancy Hoff I enjoyed working with him and admired him.

Sharon Karl Casey: He was a wonderful colleague. I really enjoyed working with him

Jim and I send our condolences to Rose and the entire Grable family. As a long-time poll worker, I will always remember Don's efforts in getting fellow citizens to exercise their civic duty. We will miss our Twin Oaks neighbor.
