I had the pleasure of visiting George and reconnecting after many long years. Even though he had had a very rough day, he recognized me and when he shared a smile with me, he truly lit up both the room and my heart! That smile.... :)
I wondered if my wonderful high school memories of George were augmented somehow by time and the fact that we were all so young. But, no. George was the real deal. Even in youth, we knew.
Thanks for being such a wonderful example to all of how to live your life well by making life better for others. Thanks for sharing your abundant spirit with us. Thanks for all the good times so many years ago.
Thanks for that smile.....
I will treasure it.
