Marlene (Neargardner) Combs

She was a graduate of Warren Central High School and she later worked as an Administrative Assistant for Anthem until the time of her retirement in 2012 after 40 years of service. Marlene loved traveling, reading, cooking, volunteering at the local animal shelter, and was always a source of laughter among friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis B. Neargardner and Eleanor (Kellerman) Neargardner. Friends and family will gather from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Hendryx Mortuary, Cumberland Chapel, 11636 E. Washington St, Cumberland, IN, 46229. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the chapel at 1:00 PM. Burial will be held at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN. Not sure what to say?

Too Marlene's family, so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you. I worked with Marlene at NGS and she guided me through my first couple of weeks getting started and set up. We had been recently reconnecting through Facebook. Reading the poem "Footprints in the Sand" will help you get through this difficult time. Rest in heaven, as an angel watching over your family.
