I dearly loved Bonnie, whom I met when I moved to Addison St in 1973; she was a wonderful role model for parenting little kids (Step, to start) and a wonderful friend in general. We kept up all these years, by mail and occasional visits, she to Providence RI, me back to Phila, a couple times meeting in NYC, and I was looking forward to seeing her this April when were due to be there for a work conference. I feel so sad shes gone, her Christmas note said no adverse health news to report so it was a real shock. I send all her family my deepest sympathy, you know best what a special person she was and Im so grateful to have had her friendship.

Bonnie was my first friend on Addison Street. I was a new mother and her son Step was about 2 years old. We spent many afternoons with the other mothers on the block watching our babies play. She had a good sense of humor and an infinite interest in the goings on in the neighborhood. I hope that her children, especially Step who I knew, will read this and know that a piece of my heart is broken with this news. She was a lovely women who will be missed by many.

Bonnie was extremely proud of her three children and their spouses as well as her amazing six grandchildren. For nearly 70 years she was an extra big sister for me, especially during the last ten years since her good friend Aline died. I will miss her support, kindness and clear memories of our old Glen Osborne days.
