December 12, 2019 He was a wonderful person. We graduated from the Moore School of Electrical Engineering at Penn in the class of 1955. Chris Holliday President - Engineers Club of Philadelphia Chris Holliday, Arddmore, PA December 2, 2019 It broke my heart to read of Joes passing. At precisely the time when we need men of principle and leadership the most, it is hard to imagine a world without him. His energy, ideals and his commitment to always do the most selfless task first made Joe a role model for my life. When I first came to Penn and he was Dean, he passed out reading lists to his staff that they shared with me and they were marvelous! I worked with him on PRIME and witnessed firsthand his heartfelt commitment to helping young students to discover the power of engineering, and I believe that passion is what led me to go to work in Penn Engineering. The world has lost a remarkable man and while memories of his strength, passion and humor will bring us all comfort, so many, myself included, will miss him dearly! May you have all of the love, hope and strength that you need to face the future. December 2, 2019 Dear Francis,
I was so sorry to hear of your husband's passing. Please know that you remain in my heart and prayers during this difficult time. God bless you and your family. Sincerely, Tamara Wibbens Tamara Wibbens, Media, PA
