Mildred Weskalnies Obituary

Mildred "Millie" Weskalnies, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and lifelong caregiver, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, at the age of 89.
Born on July 3, 1936, Millie graduated from the Providence Hospital School of Nursing, where she began a life of service rooted in the compassionate care of others.
She was a caregiver in every sense – first as a registered nurse, later as a hospice nurse, and always as a mother, wife, and friend. Her laugh brought joy, her touch brought peace, and her heart never stopped giving.
Millie was also a person of abiding faith who enjoyed learning and teaching the bible throughout her adult life.
On Oct. 28, 1957, she married Curtis L. Weskalnies. Together they built a devoted life together raising three sons, Michael, Charles (deceased), and Phillip. Millie found joy in being a mother and grandmother, enjoying every moment with her grandchildren, Sara and Rachel.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Charles; and her brother, Thomas Weber. Millie is survived by her husband, Curtis; her son, Michael, and his wife, Laura; her son, Phillip; her grandchildren, Sara and her husband, Shane, and Rachel and her husband, Justin; her sister, Lois Tessens; her sister-in-law, Carol Weber; and many extended family members and dear friends who were touched by her kindness and warmth.
A visitation will be held in her honor on Sunday, July 20, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 2 p.m. at Buresh Home in Hale. All who knew Millie are welcome to come and share memories, offer condolences, and celebrate the life of a woman who gave so much to so many.
