David Lawrence Peckham passed away unexpectedly on February 6, 2021 in Palm Springs, CA. He was born February 27, 1944 in Albany, New York to Lawrence Mace and Barbara Stebbins Peckham. He graduated from Cobleskill Central Schools and attended Paul Smiths College and State University of New York at Cobleskill. David served in the United States Navy from 1964-1968 and worked as a Machine Accountant during his enlistment. According to David, the best time of his life was spent with his loving companion of more than 20 years, Marie Singer. David was fun loving and endlessly happy. He had a knack for making friends everywhere he went. He was well known for being an avid Chargers fan, enjoying a good meal, Sudoku and he loved to talk. David was preceded in death by his companion, Marie Singer; his parents, Lawrence Mace and Barbara (Stebbins) Peckham; his nephew, Troy A. Peckham; brother-in-law, Richard Kelly and nephew Richard Kelly, Jr. David is survived by his son, Kenneth Van Hatten (Tina) of Alexandria Bay, New York; daughter, Elizabeth Pumphrey (Fred) of El Centro, California and son, Shelby Singer of Nampa, Idaho. He is also survived by his sister, Marianne Peckham Kelly of Pensacola, Florida; brothers, Thomas Peckham of Tucson, Arizona, William Peckham (Jayne) of Poughkeepsie, New York, Lawrence Peckham, Jr. (Mary Martha) of Escondido, California; grandchildren, Joseph Pumphrey (Christina), Kristin Wells (Chris) Laci O'Brien (Lucas Garcia) Candace Hansen (Danny) and Jacob Singer (Julia); in addition to 13 great-grandchildren or as he referred to them his "huggables" as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: MDS Foundation.org in David's name.

David will be missed. Enjoyed visiting with David and Marie when they came to Arkansas to visit and stayed with me. R.I.P. David . Now you will be with my sister Marie and the rest of his family.
