On behalf of the Balles family, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to everyone impacted by John's passing especially his children Steve, Stacy and Julie. In May 1970, John "Jack" and Mary Balles moved their four children at the time into 916 Maple Street right next door to the John Klinger his family. In July 1970 brother Pete was born to make five of us. But in August 1971 our world turned upside down when our father died from a short term respiratory infection at 35 years old. Our mom, Mary Alice, was six months pregnant at the time of his death with our sixth and youngest sibling sister Kim. Words cannot describe how important John Klinger was to our mom and entire family throughout the 1970's. He was like a second father to our family... and I could easily exceed the character limit on this website sharing some really great memories with John and the Klinger family from our years growing up in Freeport on Maple Street. Godspeed to Steve, Stacy and Julie and everyone else grieving John's passing. He has a place in heaven waiting for him for sure.
