My daughter Erin' first comment was "I am glad he won't be missing Frieda now." Anyone who knew Art knew he thought he was a lucky man to be with his best friend for so many years. I saw Art the Saturday before he left this world. Although it was first visit he stayed in bed, he still had me give him his exercise bands. I tried to do as many as he did but I had to stop first. Truly a privilege to know Art. My thoughts are with Art's family and Cedarburg who has lost their most remarkable resident.

Dear Celia, Ron and Family:
Doug and I want to extend our heartfelt condolences in the passing of your father and grandfather. He was such a special wonderful man. We feel lucky to have known him.
I always think of him when I pass that warm water outlet in the VDO pool where he used to love to keep warm while he was exercising. As you know he was a very big reason why we chose the VDO lot we did two doors down from him. He knew Doug had worked for an oil company and he said on more than one occasion with a smile, that they were both "oil men".
Though your parents have gone from this life, they will always be with you in your fond memories.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Judy & Doug Mercer
