To Ann and the entire family,

On behalf of Liz, Kaylee, and I our deepest sympathy for your loss. I'll always remember the first time that I met Jack. We were moving into our house, the brick ranch next door, in April of 2010 and after bringing in a large sofa I turned to be surprised to see an older gentleman standing in my doorway looking around the interior of the house. I asked, "Can I help you?" And the gentleman turned and stated, "Hi, I'm Jack. I live next door."

Jack always displayed a curiosity about architecture and it wasn't until a year later that I knew why. That memory still makes me laugh with its mix of both surprise and innocence.

We're sorry for your loss and wish you all the best. He will be missed.

Sincerely,

Ryan, Liz, and Kaylee Fitzgerald (brief neighbors on 99th)

Mr. Sheperd along with the other partners of Sheperd legan Aldrian gave me my chance in 1975 as a print boy. I am so thankful for all the support and development Mr. Sheperd inspired in me to become who I am today. I recollect very fondly of my 5 years working for him ( along with the others in the firm ) and what a great mentor he was.

To Jack's family, our deepest sympathy.

Jack was such an inspirational visionary. There was no challenge that couldn't be solved. He always thought BIG.

He was a great sponsor of sports teams at Pius XI and to graduates as they pursued their college dreams and beyond. He made us all better people.

We're sorry we won't be there in person, but we'll be there in spirit. He will be missed.

My sympathies to the Shepard family,
Jack's kindness and thoughtfulness towards the Pius girls volleyball team were deeply appreciated.
He let us use his RV for out of town matches, built us an outdoor sand court and held Championship parties at his house. May he rest in peace.
