We remember our visits long ago to the Milwaukee Zoo. Talking with Katie about David and how lovingly she talked about him and his care. No one has ever loved her son and husband more. It was no surprise to hear about how she loved teaching and the children. Her memory and lessons will remain with them forever. Katie was very proud of your Gary with your work and service to God. Every time they play the Zimblestern at Zion we remember you, Katie and David with fond thought of good friends from our past. We wish we could have made a visit up to see you all before the sad passing. God's strength to you all!

May Jesus hold you close and bring you comfort during this time of separation from Katie. Praying for your family.

Dear Gary, David, and Family,

God's peace and comfort to you on this devastating tragedy and loss. My sister, Diane Leon, told me the sad news. It brought back memories of getting the call when my precious friend Phil died in an accident several years ago. The shock is too much to take in. Life changes in an instant. Katie is praising the Lord in heaven, but I know the pain of the earthly separation is hard. May you feel the love, prayers, and support of relatives, friends, and the community of believers. Payers will be with you this weekend as you celebrate Katie's life. Diane has spoken highly of Katie and you through the years, and I'm glad y'all were in the Hope Couples' Group that kept in touch through the years. May God hug you tightly. He will carry you through this. Peace to to you. Cheerish precious memories.
