Frau Roesch was a great teacher. I am saddened to hear of her passing. She was my German teacher for 3 years during high school. She tried to reach each and every student, and help them with the intangibles of learning and life. Self-respect, self-confidence, and responsibility. If you missed a day or two of Hausaufgabe (homework), or your quiz grades were slipping, she would ask you what was going on. If you were improving, she would acknowledge your success. I have thought about German class often, because she made it fun, and interesting. Thank you Frau Roesch.

Dear Roesch Family,
I saw the notice on the Nicolet Friends FB page and am so sad to hear this news. Your mother was my favorite teacher at Nicolet- I even took four years of German when only two years of foreign language were mandatory then! I liked her class so much. She was so kind to everyone and we all loved the imported Haribo gummies that she sold during Friday film day! At that time you could not buy them in the US! Coincidentally I ended up living in Switzerland ( German part) and when I moved here I could actually still speak ( not great, but it came quickly) and read and write do to her great teaching. I am so sorry for your loss and I will always remember her as part of the good days at Nicolet! Karen Herzog ( nee Neilson)
