Velma was my Big Sister and I affectionately referred to as Sister Girl. My Sister and I we were the remaining members from the union of Joseph Harvey and Mary Lessie Peeler. Now, I am alone. My heart is deeply saddened with her transition, but I know that My Sister is in heaven with my parents and siblings. When she learned of the opportunity to have everlasting life with her service to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, she became a diligent and faithful servant of The Lord. I recall her favorite words to me from Isaiah 55-6: Seek ye The Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. She desired the same beautiful eternity for everyone in her life. I will look forward to the day that The Lord calls upon me and says servant, well done so that I may join Sister Girl and my family in heaven. Until then, I pray that My Sister rests deeply in the arms of My Heavenly Father. Amen!

I Love You Sister Girl!

We were all blessed to have Aunt Velma grace our lives. Our comfort will be in the essence of her spirt that will forever linger in our hearts. The work of a faithful servant is done and Our Aunt may now rest comfortably in the House of Our Father until we meet her again. Amen!
Amen!
From,
Her Nieces and Nephews

Sis. Kern will be dearly missed! My favorite memories of her was when we would usher on first Sunday's and at the end of the service we would look at each other and say "I couldn't have done it without you." She was like a second Mother to me!

Sister Kern well done you were a very faithful servant. Rest peacefully in your father's house.
