Newton, Bruce Douglas of Dowling, died on August 6, 2020 at age 65. He was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on December 12, 1954. He worked at Checker Motors in Kalamazoo and recently at Bradford White in Middleville. When he was younger, he liked drag racing and spending time at Grandpa Rocks Cabin in Baldwin. Recently he enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting sports and reloading ammunition with his grandson Patrick. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Paul and Corrine Lenore (Rock) Newton. He is survived by son Paul (Julie) Newton, Daughters Becky Newton, and Karen (Dennis) Eaton, grandchildren Patrick Grubius, Lauren Grubius, and Valery Eaton. There will be no service. Worked with Bruce at Checker Motors back in the 70’s and 80’s. Watched him race his Olds at Martin Dragway. We liked to prank people at work. Crazy guy. So sorry he’s gone.

Bruce had a way to get a laugh out of ya. Always got along with him in and out of work. So sorry to hear of his passing.
