Thomas, Jeananne K. Kalamazoo Went to be with the Lord, Tuesday morning, November 28, 2017. Jeananne was born November 11, 1931 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Mullie) Bondhouse and had been a lifelong resident in the Kalamazoo area. She was a lifetime member of Bethany Reformed Church where she was active in the Church Circle, Guild, Choir and numerous other committees. Jeananne was employed for 25 years with Langeland Family Funeral Homes. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends along with cooking and baking various meals and goodies. On April 17, 1954 she was united in marriage to her loving husband of 63 years, Gordon Thomas, who survives. Also surviving are children, Lynn Thomas, Sharon (Fred) Schlemmer, Gretchen Thomas, John (Christina) Thomas, William (Jennifer) Thomas; 7 grandchildren, Julianna Schlemmer (Daniel Stine) and Adrianna Schlemmer, Abigail, Allison, Hillary, Brian, and Trevor Thomas; in-laws, Gayle Thomas, Shirley (Cornelius) Hegewald; and several nieces and nephews. Jeananne was preceded in death by her in-laws, Roberta Brown, Arthur Thomas, Delores Warnshuis, and Barbara Cooper. Services will be held at 11:30am Thursday, November 30 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street with Rev. Fritz Kruithof officiating. Friends may meet the family from 5-8pm Wednesday evening, November 29 and from 10:30-11:30 Thursday prior to the service at the Westside Chapel. Private family interment will be in Ft. So sorry for your loss. Jeananne was a good wife and mother. I enjoyed working with her - we shared a lot of good laughs and recipes. She will be missed greatly.

I've known Jeananne for a long time, I met her through her husband, Gordon. jeananne always had a good personality.

I remember her warm and welcoming smile when I'd visit Langeland downtown on business. She could always 'find' Norm no matter where he was. ;-)
