Howard "The Duck" M. Bromley
June 15, 1944 - February 13, 2021
Wichita, Kansas - Howard "The Duck" Melvin Bromley, 76, of Wichita, Kansas passed away February 13, 2021 at home. He was born June 15, 1944 to Leroy and Helen (Ingels) Bromley in Wichita, Kansas.
Howard was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and served honorably in the United States Army. He was also a proud member of the American Legion, Post 4, Wichita, Kansas, Patriot Guard Riders, and Midian Shriners. He married Darlene, his wife of 40 years, January 9, 1981. When he retired from truck driving and teaching at WATC, he spent his retirement years dabbling in cooking, woodworking, motorcycle riding, and caring for his great-grandchildren.
Howard is survived by his wife, Darlene, Wichita, KS; siblings, Ron (Karen) Bromley, Davenport, OK, Millie Baird, Davenport, OK, Joann Norton-Lopez, Atchison, KS; son, John (Cris) Bromley, Wichita, KS, daughter, Darla (Ron) Abla, Wichita, KS; granddaughters, April (Brett) Webb, Wichita, KS, Allie (Jeff) Schauner, Cheney, KS; great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Emalyn, and Zane; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Leroy Bromley and Helen Berter; brothers Roy, Richard, Melvin, and Doug Bromley; and his sister Virginia Denton.
A Celebration of life will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 19th, 2021 at American Legion Post 4, 816 N. Water, Wichita, Kansas. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, Winfield, Kansas.

Met "The Duck" at the Ameican Legion Post 4 in 2004, since have been on a many untold amounts of rides together and later shared many fishing trips and interest with Carl Moss and I.....will be missed greatly....
