Lora and Becky - I am deeply sorry for the loss of your mother. I was always fond of her and never forgot her when we were kids growing up. Jo was a riot, always spoke her mind and continued to do so as I had the pleasure to see her again many years later. I will never forget her and the fun times we all had as kids. Our mothers did well for themselves working hard, going to nursing school and raising us children. They both worked hard at Osteopathic Hospital, then it became Riverside then they moved over to St Joe. I remember a few trips they took us on. We went to Worlds of fun and Table rock lake, that is where we went cane pole fishing. We as kids, also fought about who got to ride in the back dash window (since in the 70's we had no seat belt laws). I think my brother always won because he was the boy and the youngest. I was so pleased and thankful when your mother sat with my mom at her time of passing. I just adored your mother/Jo. I am so glad that I had the chance to see and visit with her once again before her passing. Jo will be deeply missed. It is amazing how our mothers cared for so many people in there years of nursing but there is still nothing the medical field could do to help our mothers? Life does not seem fair at times. I am sure they are visiting and laughing together right now.
Jo, please hug my mother for me as I miss her dearly. May you also rest in peace.

Jo was my favorite childhood friend and neighbour. We had great times together and had fun getting into mischief together. Even tho I moved as an adult to Australia, we always kept in touch by email and I loved catching up with her when we would visit Wichita. She was so generous and her sense of humor kept us in stitches. My husband Bryan also appreciated Jo and looked forward to us visiting her. She loved to brag about her grandchildren and daughters and we loved to hear it. I can't believe Jo won't be there in Wichita when we next come. But I am looking forward more than ever to heaven and being reunited with Jo. I miss you, Jo. Thank you for being such an amazing, wonderful friend.

What a great lady. Knew her for over 40 years. She was always funny and kind. She spent her life helping people. Jo, hug Shane for me. He'll be so happy to see you. May you rest in peace. You will be missed.
