I was heartbroken when I found out what happened. I was a student in her class all 4 years in high school. As well as proctoring for her for two whole years. I always stuck by her side and she was the one that inspired me to do my best. I'm so glad I helped her with everything as much as I could. I still have all the cards and ID's and a picture to remember how close we were. My assigned seat was the table right next to her desk. I'm so happy we made memories together and you'll always be in my heart. I love you so much.

Finally Home by Lynn Casstevens

Although your work on earth is done
Your life in heaven has just begun
Your struggles here were hard and long
But they're over now, you're finally home.

Rest easy, Lorrie, you're finally home.

For this last week I have been trying to wrap my mind around the loss of such a wonderful person and friend. I met Lorrie over 20 years ago when we were both pregnant. She with Josh and me with Ty. The memories we have of our boys playing in the culdesac and us sitting in the driveway watching and visiting are treasured memories. Ryan still remembers Lor always giving him wet willies. She always had a smile and a hug for everyone. You will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege to know you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Bob, Jake, and Josh.

Bob, Jake, Josh and family, I am very sorry about your loss. Bob, I can say that company events will never be the same...Lorrie made them so fun. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

Words cannot truly say what I feel in my heart about Lorrie but she was a true friend. She greeted me the first day I moved to the neighborhood and was always there with a smile, hug or words of advice whenever needed. I cherish the days of sitting in the driveway on a nice evening to relax and catch up on our chat time. She gave me helpful recommendations on decorating my house - so much so that I could hardly wait for her to return from Iowa in July to show her all the new decor! Lorrie was a friend to all that met her and I am so privileged to be one of them. I know she is at peace and I look forward to the day we can be together again. God bless you Bob, Jake and Josh.

This breaks my heart. This woman was my favorite teacher and I was one of the lucky ones to have her 2 years in a row (history, and government).
Not only did she want to see everyone in her class succeed she helped me beyond what words can explain when I was dealing head on with my health issues of Helicobacterpylori. She was the best teacher out there! I will never ever ever forget you and the impact you left on me and my heart. ♥♥♥ you are truly missed.

Everyone who has known Lorrie must have a funny story about something she has said or done including our family after living next door to the Wallentines for 22 years. However, the moments we will remember most about our very dear friend Lorrie is her big caring heart. She not only cared for her family but has always been aware daily of anyone around her going through a difficult time (teenagers or co-waorkers at school, children going through chemo, neighbors and friends). She not only noticed but always tried to help in any way she could.
Lorrie made a huge impact on my husband's life when he found himself paralyzed and unable to walk after three life threatening surgeries. Lorrie came over every day for months while I was at work and walked with him and his walker until he could once again walk and go back to work. She was very busy taking care of her two young sons, going to college and helping her own husband through health issues at the time but still found time to help my husband and others. We shall all miss her so much until we meet her once again in an even better neighborhood.

There are no words that can express my sorrow. Lorrie will always be in your heart. That's the best place to be.
