Meyer, Ruth, Ph.D. 79, died Monday, January 29, 2018. Dr. Meyer was born on June 3, 1938 in Pender, NE, the daughter of Dick and Rose Meyer. She graduated from Thurston High School, received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Nebraska Wesleyan in 1964, her Master of Arts degree from Wichita State University in 1966, and her Doctor of Philosophy degree from Kansas State University in 1978. She taught at the University of Northern Iowa, Wichita State University, and Newman University. After retirement, she worked as an editorial consultant and test developer for the Medical Training Team at Wichita State University. A Requiem Eucharist will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church Chapel, on Sunday, February 4 at 2:00 pm. Private burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Pender, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers, she wishes for memorials to be made to: Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS, 67219. She was preceded in death by her parents. There are no survivors.
