Rest Warren, until you hear at dawn,

Thank you for your service to this nation.

I met Warren last November while we were on Flight 55 of Kansas Honor Flight. It was our pleasure to honor him for his service to our country, and a pleasure to meet such a sweet fella. Godspeed Warren.

Warren was a wonderful man. My kids live across the street and he was so nice and helpful to them. He treated my grandchildren like royalty. Never failed to give me a wave. I know my family will be lost as will yours. My prayers to you.

Warren and I attended kindergarten together. We would walk across a big open field all the way to South Hillside school to attend kindergarten and first grade.
Warren's dad was one of the main tool and die makers for Clyde Cessna in the early days of Cessna aircraft Company. Warren grew up watching his dad make things including a welder that he built out of a B-29 generator driven by a four-cylinder Cosley engine. Warren's eye for detail was in the thousands of an inch as if it was aircraft work. This wonderful friend could help you fix anything. We always had fun talking about projects that required some new element of technology, so it would require interviewing people or reading a book to figure out just how to make it work.
In Warren's later life his biggest fun was building something for his grandkids. I remember he spent a year working on an antique table for his daughter Holly and if there was any part on that table that wasn't right he would just build a new part from scratch.
I loved Warren like a brother and he will always be missed, John Stevens
