Thank you, Mr. Pope, on behalf of all Julius Marks graduates, for leading a wonderful school that provided an outstanding foundation for so many children. I have such fond memories and am so appreciative of the education I received. Your charisma will always be remembered.

I had the honor of teaching Algebra at Morton Junior High/Middle School, Lexington, KY, to thousands of Mr. Pope's Julius Marks Elementary School graduates.

Mr. Pope was an exemplary Administrator. He was highly respected by students, parents, faculty, colleagues, and the school community he diligently served as Julius Marks Principal, opening the school in 1976, until his retirement from Julius Marks in 1994. The surrounding community experienced tremendous growth during Mr. Pope's tenure as Principal.

Mr. Pope's distinguished Julius Marks Elementary School faculty is a tribute to an outstanding Principal, whose high standards and expectation of achievement by all, are integrated into the lives of his many, many students.

Thank you Mr. Pope, and thank you Julius Marks faculty, for teaching our children.

Gorman was the minister at Shiner Church of Christ in Whitley County. He preformed our wedding in 1969 and also baptized me. He will always be remembered and missed.
